Lucia Vintimilla Beckmann

My name is Lucia, and I am half German, half Ecuadorian. I have been fortunate to live in several countries, including the USA, Spain, and Italy. These experiences not only allowed me to learn different languages but also to understand and appreciate diverse cultures and perspectives. Through my bicultural upbringing and the people I have met along the way, I have developed deep cultural sensitivity and a genuine curiosity about others.

I began my professional journey as a music therapist, an experience that gave me a broad and flexible view of therapy. It taught me to adapt to each person’s unique needs and to use creativity as a bridge for connection. Working with individuals affected by traumatic brain injuries, developmental disabilities, and dementia strengthened my ability to build strong therapeutic relationships and to see each person beyond their diagnosis. This experience inspired me to continue my path as a psychologist—a journey that has taught me much about the human mind and body, but even more about myself. It has been a truly meaningful and introspective process!
