A SAFE PLACE TO START
Thinking about starting therapy?
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. Many people wonder if their struggles are serious enough or if therapy is really the right choice for them. If that sounds familiar, you are not alone.
Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health. Therapy offers a safe space to be heard, gain new perspectives, and find support through life’s challenges.
At PsydKicks, we understand how difficult it can be to ask for help. Our own experiences with challenges like anxiety, depression, relationships, and personal growth inspired us to create a place where finding the right support feels easier.
Therapy is not only for moments of crisis. It is an opportunity to better understand yourself, build resilience, and develop the tools to navigate life with more confidence.
FIND A ‘PSYDKICK’ YOU CONNECT WITH
The right therapist can make all the difference
If therapy hasn’t worked for you in the past, it doesn’t mean therapy isn’t for you. Sometimes the timing wasn’t right, life got in the way, or the connection with your therapist was simply not the right fit.
Actually, the relationship between you and your therapist is one of the strongest predictors of successful therapy. Yet most platforms and healthcare systems focus primarily on diagnoses, specialisations, and availability. And no one seems to care about whether you’d actually like to talk to the therapist you’ve been assigned. That’s why we do things differently at PsydKicks.
All our therapists are registered psychologists, but we also believe finding the right match goes beyond qualifications. That’s why you can get to know a therapist’s personality, communication style, and approach before your first session. Because when therapy feels like a genuine human connection, it becomes much easier to navigate life.
How it works
Your preferences
Fill out a short matching questionnaire and we'll email you three therapists we think are a good match for you. You can also skip this step and browse therapist profiles yourself. Then choose the therapist who feels like the best fit.
Optional video call
If you'd like, you can schedule a free 15 minute video call with your chosen therapist. It's a chance to get to know each other and see if it feels like the right fit.
Book your first session
Book an online therapy session at a day and time that works for you. After your first session, you can continue booking appointments at your own pace.
Experiences
Get started without waiting
No waiting lists or complicated healthcare systems. Once you've found your therapist, you can book your first session right away. Getting support should be simple, accessible, and available when you need it most.
Switch therapists easily
We do everything we can to help you find the right therapist from the start. But the truth is, you only know if someone is the right fit once you've had a few sessions together. If it doesn't feel right, switching is easy. No explanation needed.
No minimum number of sessions
There are no mandatory packages or minimum number of sessions. You decide how often you'd like to meet and for how long. Whether you need short term support or ongoing guidance. Therapy should fit your life and personal development, not the other way around.
