Introduction
Hi, I’m Saskia.
I’m a psychologist and coach, and I work with people who are trying to make sense of something in their lives, want things to change, or simply feel stuck and don’t know where to start.
Maybe you are struggling with self-doubt, stress or difficult emotions. Maybe something in your life no longer feels quite right, or you keep finding yourself in the same patterns. Sometimes there is no obvious problem at all. You simply feel that something is missing or that you are not quite living the way you would like to.
I know that feeling myself. I have experienced the loss of both my parents, financial struggles, and periods where health-related issues made life difficult. These experiences have taught me that life is rarely straightforward and that we often carry much more than others can see.
I don’t think people need to be fixed. Sometimes we need another perspective, clarity, or the courage to do something differently. Or we simply need a space where we can be honest about what is really going on.
You don’t need to have the right words or know exactly what you need. You can come as you are, and we can start from there.
About my approach
As a psychologist and coach, I combine psychological knowledge with a practical and action-oriented approach. I draw on evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Positive Psychology.
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all formula. Sometimes it helps to explore your thoughts, emotions or patterns. Sometimes you need space to make sense of something that has happened. And sometimes you already understand the problem and simply need to figure out what to do next.
I believe you are the expert on your own life. I bring psychological knowledge and a different perspective, while you bring the expertise that comes from actually living your life. We work side by side to figure things out.
I am particularly interested in the space between insight and action. You might come to a session with something you have been thinking about for weeks without knowing where to start. You don’t need to organise everything beforehand. I will help you structure what is going on, keep track of what matters, and guide the conversation so we don’t lose sight of what is important.
There is no fixed script for our sessions. I may ask questions, offer a different perspective, challenge you when helpful, or simply give you space to talk. Difficult emotions are welcome too. You don’t always need to turn a feeling into a solution straight away. But when you are ready to move, I will help you turn insight into action.
What matters most to me is that you feel taken seriously, without feeling judged or put into a box. I bring professional knowledge, but also curiosity, honesty and a genuine interest in the person sitting across from me. You can come as you are. We’ll figure out the rest together.
